TonyTony joined Pets at Home in 2010 as Non-Executive Chairman and was appointed to the Board of Pets at Home Group in 2014. He is also a Senior Independent Director at Dixons Carphone plc, a Non-Executive Director of PrimaPrix SL., Non-Executive Director of DeNunzio Associates Ltd and a Senior Advisor to Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co. L.P.

Tony brings vast retail experience and knowledge to the Pets at Home team. He was previously Non-Executive Chairman of Maxeda, the second largest DIY retailer in the Benelux, Non-Executive Director of Alliance Boots, and Chief Financial Officer of Asda and Deputy Chairman of Galiform (now Howdens). He started his career in the fast-moving consumer goods sector with financial positions in Unilever, L'Oreal and Pepsico. Tony has also been Chairman of the advisory board of Manchester Business School and was awarded a CBE for services to retail in 2005.


Dennis was appointed to the Board of Pets at Home Group in 2014 and brings wide-ranging public company experience and retail and financial expertise. He is also currently Chairman of Halfords Group Plc and a Non-Executive Director at Debenhams Plc.

Previously, Dennis was Chairman of Connect Group plc and a Senior Independent Director at Premier Farnell Plc and Xchanging plc. Dennis is also Chairman of Trustees of the charity The Holy Cross Children’s Trust. Dennis owns two dogs.

Ian KelletIan joined Pets at Home as in April 2006 as Chief Financial Officer and moved to the role of Chief Executive Officer in April 2016. Ian also supports the Group’s veterinary business as a member of their operational board. 

Previous to his time at Pets at Home, Ian was finance director of Staples’ retail business in the United Kingdom between 2004–2006 and deputy finance director of JD Wetherspoon plc between 1999 and 2004.

Ian has three dogs and a horse.

Mark Adams

Mike joined Pets at Home in September 2016 as Group Chief Financial Officer.

Mike was the Chief Financial Officer of New Look from 2014 until 2016. Prior to this, Mike held a number of finance roles at Tesco plc over a period of thirteen years, with his final position as Group Planning, Treasury and Tax Director. Before this he held finance roles with Kingfisher plc and Whitbread plc. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen. 

Mark Adams

Nicolas was appointed to the Board of Pets at Home Group in 2016.

He is a director of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, and is currently responsible for the retail industry coverage in Europe. He is also currently a member of the Boards of Directors of SMCP, Winoa, Webhelp and FlowStream.

Prior to joining KKR, his previous experience was with the French private equity firm Sagard, and Goldman Sachs in London and Paris.

He holds a B.A. from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Strasbourg) and an M.Sc. from ESSEC.



Amy was appointed to the Board of Pets at Home Group in 2014. She brings significant financial, accounting and public company experience.  She is currently a Non-Executive member of the Cabinet Office Board and Chair of Audit and Risk Committee, as well as a Non-Executive Director at RIT Capital Partners Plc.

Amy spent three years as the Chief Financial Officer of TalkTalk Telecom Group Plc, until May 2013, having been with TalkTalk since its formation as part of the Carphone Warehouse Group Plc. Prior to this, Amy held various senior finance and management positions at the Carphone Warehouse Group since joining in 2000. Amy was also the Chief Financial Officer of The Prince’s Trust. Amy has a dog and a cat.

Paul C

Paul was appointed to the Board of Pets at Home Group in 2014. He brings significant e-commerce, international and systems technology experience. Paul has been IT Director at John Lewis since March 2011, where he launched the new platform for and installed a new ePOS (electronic point of sale) system. Before this, Paul was CIO at British Airways for 10 years, where he helped to develop, including calendar-based selling of flights, self-service check-in and the ability to combine flight bookings with hotels and other services online.

Paul is also chair of SITA (Société Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautique), the global provider of systems and telecommunications to the air transport industry, a Board member of Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banking Group, and IT Director of Randalls Cottages Ltd. Before joining British Airways, Paul was a civil servant in the Departments of Transport and Environment, where he worked in Ministerial private office and on roads, rail and local government policy. Paul owns one dog.



Tessa joined the Board of Pets at Home in 2014.  She has a strong background in the not-for-profit and charitable sectors and is currently a Trustee of the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Previously, Tessa was Non-Executive Director of Barts Health NHS Trust, Chairman of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust from 1998 until 2010 and Chairman of The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign. Tessa also served as the Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery and was Head of Corporate Affairs at Carlton Communications Plc.

Tessa owns one dog and three horses.


Paul M

Paul was appointed to the Board of Pets at Home in 2014 and brings deep consumer goods and public company experience. Paul is the Non-Executive Chairman of Johnson Service Group and a Non-Executive Director at 4imprint Group Plc.

Paul spent seventeen years at Britvic plc, including the last eight years as Chief Executive.  Paul was also the Chief Executive of Food Freshness Technology, a high tech innovations company focused on delivering comprehensive solutions for food freshness.
